The study therefore, examined the effect of rural <\/em><em>agricultural<\/em><em>&nbsp;business strategies on poverty alleviation in Ngwa South, Abia State, Nigeria. Three null hypotheses were formulated and tested at a 5% level of significance, focusing<\/em><em>&nbsp;on <\/em><em>innovative strategies in local production systems, capitalization of local resources and employment generation. <\/em><em>The study adopted <\/em><em>a quantitative approach with a survey strategy, based on sustainable development theory (SDT). A population of 1,635 agricultural business owners was gotten from the Local Government Authority registries. A sample size of 322 operators was determined using <\/em>Taro Yammane&#8217;s formula<em>.<\/em><em>&nbsp;<\/em><em>Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings of the study showed: R<\/em><em><sup><em><sup>2<\/sup><\/em><\/sup><\/em><em>-Value of<\/em><em><sup><em><sup>&nbsp;<\/sup><\/em><\/sup><\/em><em>0.940, F-Value of <\/em><em>1664.508<\/em><em>&nbsp;and the three null hypotheses were not retained. The findings showed that innovation in local production, capitalization of local resources and employment generation strategies have significant positive effects on poverty alleviation in Ngwa South, Abia State.
